At George’s 290 Wine Tours, we specialize in private, customized tour packages for groups of 2 to 7 people visiting the best, most established tasting rooms on the Texas 290 Wine Trail with pick up at the customer’s location in Fredericksburg. Our preferred focus is on real Texas grown wines and promoting Texas viticulture. Thanks to George’s more than 20 years of experience doing tours on the 290 Wine Trail, his personal relationships with the winery owners, managers and wine makers, and a lifetime in Fredericksburg, we are able to provide experiences other companies can’t or won’t. Our Private Premium Tour Package costs $200-$300 (tax included) per person. We pick you up at your location in Fredericksburg at 10:30am. We make reservations for you at 3 premium wineries and pay your standard tasting fees in advance. We serve you a box picnic lunch after your tasting at one of the wineries. We have you back by 4:00 pm, so you have a little time to relax or shop before your evening plans.
Our Private Short PM Tour Package costs $175-$275 (tax included) per person. We pick you up at your location in Fredericksburg at 12:30 pm after you’ve had brunch on your own. We make reservations for you at 3 premium wineries and pay for you standard tastings fees in advance. We have you back at 5:15.
All tours are private and done in a private 8-passenger black Mercedes Metris van.
